Ideas

So, we've been Internet searching...and oh, oh, oh. My Dad has a 1956 red and white Oldsmobile 88 (he bought in 1962 or so and is displayed prominantly in my baby pictures)...wouldn't it be oh so hot with a trailer to match? Hmmmm...

Named

My mother named this little trailer tonight - Annie. Annie (which was the name my Dad called me when I was little, but that's another story) was my parents dog that died this last year (don't even ask about the whole big blond dog with the same name as me thing...another long story). Today is her birthday...I vote for Annie.

Elizabeth voted for "Squishy", from the scene in Finding Nemo where the starfish is named Squishy. I have to make the curtains - my vote trumps. Course Jerry has to deal with redoing some of the woodwork, so I might be trumped too.

Today she is ours

We bought this little travel trailer today. A 1952 Crown. The woman that had it said she thought it was male, but I believe it's decidedly female.

There is alot of work to do to make it ready for next Spring, when we hope to start using it. Most of the work is Jerry's, but I'm going to do my part (which is pretty much what Jerry asks me to do, plus curtains).

Overall it's in pretty good shape - there are some dents up front where it appears one of the prior owners took a corner to close. There is also some bent places in the back where they may have bumped the underneath. There is also a little wood damage up front which will need to be repaired.

The electrical works, but we'll need to have the electrical and the propane lines all checked and possibly replaced. The interior is in remarkably good condition - except of course general ugliness. The gentleman that had it last decided paneling with huting scenes (elk, etc) was really the way to go! And some fake wood flooring. That can be pretty easily solved.

It's light enough to tow with the VW.
